Rita Marie Bloomer, age 64, of Attleboro, Massachusetts, entered eternal life on Sunday, September 4, 2022.
Raised in Bristol, Rhode Island, the daughter of the late Perry and Anita Bloomer, Rita is survived by her sister, Dorene Bloomer of Riverside, Rhode Island, and brothers, Perry Bloomer Jr. of Bristol, Rhode Island, and Kenneth Bloomer of Tiverton, Rhode Island. Rita is also survived by her nieces, Kaitlyn (Craig) Cordeiro, Michaela Bloomer, and Savanah Bloomer, as well as grand-nephew Emmett and grand-nieces Makenna and Cassandra.
Rita earned both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Bryant College and worked her entire career in the banking industry. She retired in 2018 after 27 years with the Federal government’s Office of the Comptroller of the Currency as a national bank examiner. An avid photographer and gardener, Rita’s true passions were her faith, her family, and her friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeth Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
