Mr. Kevin P. Connery

Kevin P. Connery, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2020 at Hope Health Hospice in Providence after a brief battle with cancer.

Kevin was born in Fall River, MA, the son of the late Elvira A. Connery and James J. Connery Jr,.  He leaves siblings J. Brian Connery and his wife Jeanne of Warwick, Karen Connery of Providence, Thomas Connery of Orlando, FL, Patricia Chabot and her husband Philip and Ann Gomes, both of Englewood, FL.  Also, nieces Brielle Trosset and Landrie Connery of Orlando, FL, Allison Connery of Warwick, RI and Aramente Connery of Orlando, FL.

Kevin grew up in Bristol, graduated from Bristol High School and lived in Bristol and Warren (the Daniel Child house) most of his adult life.  

Kevin was employed for over ten years in the maintenance dept at the Newport Naval Base in Newport, RI.  He was also employed more recently for three years as a cafeteria worker also at the base. He was a huge New England sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins which he followed faithfully.  

He was a member of St. Mary’s parish and attended mass regularly until he moved.  Growing up, everyone in Bristol knew Kevin. The Town Common was his second home, attending softball games and being the summer basketball games halftime entertainment, shooting and often scoring halfcourt shots. Kevin loved music and could also be found at the old Topside Lounge at night, dancing and mingling with many female friends. His spirit was great and will never be forgotten.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 10:00 AM in St. Mary's Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Memorial contributions can be make to the James L. Maher Center, 906 Aquidneck Avenue, Middletown, RI 02842
