Ms. Wendy MacKenzie Allen

On Thursday, October 31, 2019, Wendy MacKenzie Allen, loving daughter, sister and mother of Thomas and Caitlin, passed away peacefully at the age of 67 after a long battle with cancer. Wendy was born on October 5, 1952 in Berlin, NH to Jock and Genevieve MacKenzie. Wendy attended Dover NH High School and McIntosh College.
Wendy relocated to Bristol RI where she married and raised her two children, Thomas and Caitlin. For sixteen years, Wendy worked for East Bay Newspapers as an Accounting Manager, working at a job she loved while making many lifelong friendships.
Wendy was a dedicated loving mother. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. Wendy had an easy-going personality and always made people around her laugh. Her smile would brighten a room and her laugh was contagious. Wendy enjoyed gardening, playing with her dog Cooper, and volunteering at events with the Hopeworth Neighborhood Association.
In addition to Wendy’s children Thomas Allen of Danbury CT and Caitlin Allen of Stamford CT, she is survived by her sisters, Sally (MacKenzie) Horneck of Saratoga Springs NY, Mary Beth MacKenzie of Shelton CT, brother Scott MacKenzie of Palm Coast FL, and several cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and a grandnephew throughout the north east. Wendy follows both her father Jock, and mother Genevieve in eternal rest.
Please join us celebrating Wendy’s life Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Sansone Funeral Home, located at 192 Wood Street Bristol, RI. Visiting hours are 1pm to 3pm with a memorial remembrance at 2:30pm.
