Terrific lifelong memories of Sumner will endure for years, usually with his disarming smile and charming sharp wit. Always the diligent inventor, artist and entrepreneur as well as counselor and cheerleader, he coaxed me in my formative years with lessons from his ole alma mater "School of Hard Knocks", when I thought the road too tough. Rest In Peace Uncle Sumner you have been much loved and will be so missed.
Love, Gregg, Kelly and Brittany

I am blessed to have spent time with my uncle Summer and to see the life in his eyes when talking about boats and the business of jewelry design. He was the most artistic, classy and tasteful man I have ever known. He is back together with his sister again.

Second cousins Robert DeMaine (wife Ann) and Sandra MacDonald send their love to Marlies and all the family. We were so glad to be able to re-connect with Sumner and his family several years ago.
