Sandra A. Rodrigues

Sandra A. Rodrigues, 64, of Warren passed away peacefully in Providence, RI on Monday November 2, 2020. She spent the last 32 years of her life with her companion Paul Lopes.

Raised in Bristol, she was the daughter of Eleanor (Pagano) Rodrigues and the late Raymond J. Rodrigues, Sr.

Sandy graduated from Bristol High School and was a member of the class of 1975. She later went on to earn her associates degree in Mortuary Sciences from the New England Institute of Anatomy, Sanitation Science, Embalming and Funeral Directing in 1977. Sandra was the co-owner of Rod’s Grille in Warren, RI for over 30 years.

Sandy was a lover of all things Disney and dogs, especially Pugs. She raised her beloved Ellie Rae for 10 years. Sandy was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and NASCAR and attended annual NASCAR races with friends in New Hampshire for many years. Sandy began her love of travel with a cross country trip with her family as a child. She also enjoyed many trips and cruises including Italy, Las Vegas, and Alaska with her partner Paul, friends, and/or family. Sandy enjoyed spending time at the casino with her partner, mother, and nieces. Sandy was a fashionista and was given the nickname “Fou Fou” by friends because of her love for shopping and fashion. Sandy was a member of The German Club in Warren, RI and The Holy Rosary Society. Her customers and friends will always remember being on the receiving end of her jokes and pranks. The Rod's Grille morning coffee table in heaven just got a little rowdier with her joining them. We will never forget her smile and charm.

In addition to her mother Eleanor and her companion Paul, Sandy also leaves behind her brother: Raymond J. Rodrigues, Jr. (Adeline); her nieces: Ashley Colella (Charles) and Meghan Rodrigues (Fabio Lopes); and the many people in the community whose lives she touched in many ways.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday
November 6, 2020 at 10 AM inside St. Elizabeth Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol, RI. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol, RI. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name can be made to Wigs for Kids, 24231 Center Ridge Rd.
