Ryan P. Maturi of Bristol passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. He was the loving husband of Jessica (Rogers) Maturi.
A lifelong Bristolian, he was the son of Muriel (Lafazia) Maturi of Bristol, RI and Harold and Candace Maturi of West Warwick, RI.
Ryan graduated from Mount Hope High School class of 1997 and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from Providence College. Ryan enjoyed his work in the Department of Human Services Office of Rehabilitative Services for the State of Rhode Island.
Ryan was an avid sports fan, in particular the New England Patriots and the Providence College Friars. He was an advocate for all animals and loved music and attending concerts, especially the Grateful Dead and Pink Floyd
Besides his wife and his parents, Ryan is survived by his brother, Brad (Tracey) Maturi of Bristol, RI, His nieces and nephews, Sierra Maturi and Justin Maturi of Bristol, RI and Ava Rogers and Logan Rogers of Barrington RI, his stepsister Cassie (Ryan) Simko of Coventry, RI and his best friend, his dog Hunter as well as countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents John and Muriel (Sylvia) Lafazia and Dorothy and Henry Maturi.
Visiting Hours will be held at Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 4-8 PM. His funeral service will start from Sansone Funeral Home on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 9 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol at 10 AM. Immediately following mass Ryan will be laid to rest at The Cremation Garden at North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol.
