Michael P. Rogers, 47, of Bristol, Rhode Island, passed away in the comfort of his home, surrounded by family on June 21, 2022. He was the devoted husband of Danielle N. (DeMarco) Rogers, the son of Cheryl Rogers and the beloved father of Grace.
Michael graduated from Bristol High School in 1992. After high school, he spent time in the Air Force. Once Michael’s military service was complete, he worked several jobs and put himself through school at Roger Williams University, where he received his dual Bachelor’s Degree in History and Business.
Mike’s professional career was primarily spent working in healthcare for 2 leading pharmaceutical companies. As a senior pharmaceutical rep, Mike served cardiology healthcare providers and their patients in all of RI and Southeastern Massachusetts. He received numerous awards and recognitions throughout his career. Mike’s greatest professional contribution was serving as a mentor and leader for many colleagues, who became friends over the years.
Michael was also a passionate sports fan, whose love and knowledge of many different sports was admired by his friends. He wrestled in high school and college and loved to share stories of his wrestling days.
Michael’s strength and loyalty to his family and friends will forever be admired. He loved spending time with his uncles, aunts and cousins. He was a devoted father who was most at home in nature, enjoying hiking and kayaking with his family. Some of his favorite summer days were spent at the beach bodysurfing the ocean waves with his daughter.
He leaves behind many cousins, uncles, aunts and dear friends.
Michael joined his father-in-law Louis J. DeMarco, his step-father Paul Ramsay and other family members & friends in heaven.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Life Celebration on Saturday, July 9, 2022, 10:00 am at The First Congregational Church 300 High Street, Bristol. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name can be made to fight Colorectal Cancer through fightcolorectalcancer.org.
