Marjorie "Marge" M. Corcoran, 88, of Bristol, RI, died peacefully at her daughter's home on Thursday, January 12, with family by her side.
Marjorie was born in Bristol, and graduated from Colt Memorial High School in 1952.
In her earlier years, Marjorie loved her work at St. Joseph's Hospital as a Maternity Ward Aide, as a Home Caregiver, and RI Veterans' Home Pharmacy Assistant. Her most pleasurable position though was as Nana. Marjorie was quick-witted, kind-hearted and religious. For years, Marjorie hosted the family Christmas Eve dinner celebration. She got much joy from, and worked her magic, knitting and crocheting afghans, sweaters, baby outfits, hats, and other things to keep everyone warm. She also donated many handmade items to local churches and organizations for their annual fund raisers. In her later years, Marjorie enjoyed word puzzles, participating on a Wii bowling league, playing Bingo and cards, and going out to eat with family and friends. She was a die-hard Red Sox and Patriots fan, and loved listening to Country Music.
Marjorie's leaves behind her children: Karen J. Marsh, Dr. William W. St.Vincent Jr. (Chris Provost), Wayne A. St.Vincent Sr. (Lisa), Denise A. Horridge (Jaime Furtado), and Gina-Marie Salisbury (Stephen); her grandchildren: Audrey Goulet (Jason), Richard Corcoran Jr. (Kerry), Allison Patton (Evan), Bradley St.Vincent, Carolyn St.Vincent, Jennifer St.Vincent (Peter Bernard), Wayne St.Vincent Jr., Bethany Machado (Kevin), Alan St.Vincent, Sarah McCollum (Austin), LeAnn St.Vincent, Kayla-Lynn Gruslin (Catlin), Zachary Fontes, Matthew Fontes (Linda), and Kayla Salisbury; her great- grandchildren: Nicholas Caine (Jaime), Jordan Stephenson, Michaela Stephenson, Kayleigh Corcoran, Camdyn Corcoran, Peter Bernard, Owen Bernard, Paige Machado, Van Machado, Brayden St.Vincent, Ivy McCollum, Colson McCollum, Danika-Lyn Gruslin, Elijah-John Gruslin, and Cole-Michael Gruslin; great-great-grandchildren: Phoenix Caine, Jordan Stephenson, Jenelle Stephenson; her sister, Theresa Gaglio, and many extended family and friends.
Marjorie was pre-deceased by her parents, her son, Darrell G. St.Vincent, and her siblings: Mary Mortenson, Manuel Stanzione, and Angelo "Junior" Stanzione.
Her funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol with a Visiting Hour from 9:00-10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol.
