Maria L. Weiser

Maria L. (DaSilva) Weiser, 90, passed away peacefully at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence on Saturday, August 13, 2022. She was the wife of Herbert Weiser.

Born in the Azores, she was one of twelve children born to the late Manuel and Mariana (Rebello) DaSilva.

Maria was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Church in Bristol. A simple woman, she relished in time spent with her family.

Maria is survived by her husband Hebert; her children: Joseph Faria (Sandra) of Cranston, Gilbert Faria (Joyce) of Bristol, Jesse Faria (Mariana) of Bristol; her grandchildren: Kevin Faria (Samantha), Gilbert Faria, Kimberly Silva (Kevin), Jennifer Faria, Jesse Andrade Faria (Holly), Shantel Mello (Michael), Martina Faria; her great grandchildren: William Silva, Quinn Faria, Dean Faria, Lilly Silva, Aiden Faria, Nia Mello, Noah Mello, Jesse Donovan Faria, Zoe Faria; her siblings: Isabel Medeiros of Massachusetts, Joseph DaSilva of Portugal, Rosa DaSilva of the Azores, Neves DaSilva of the Azores; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was pre-deceased by her parents Manuel and Mariana, her grandson Joseph Faria, and her siblings.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street. Visiting Hours will be Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Sansone Funeral Home from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeth Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol.
