Mrs. Kathleen A. (Bisbano) Vaccaro, age 79 of Larson Court, Bristol, died Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late Pasquale T. “Pat” Vaccaro, Jr., her husband of 30 years, who preceded her in death in June 1992.
Born in Providence and a lifelong Bristol resident, she was a daughter of the late Raymond F. and Madeline (Camera) Bisbano. Kathleen was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Bristol, Class of 1959. She was a homemaker, a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Caramel Church, Bristol where she was a Feast Worker for many years. She was a member of the Leonardo da Vinci Lodge, Sons of Italy in Bristol. Later on in life she was owner of Fresh Start Café in Newport, Rhode Island, where she welcomed everyone as family.
She is survived by a son, Steven P. Vaccaro (Tricia), two grandchildren, Steven P. Vaccaro, Jr. (Kaitlyn) and Hannah E. Vaccaro, all of Bristol, a sister Linda J. Fontaine (Kenneth) of North Port, FL and a brother, Raymond R. Bisbano (Michelle) of Fort Myers, FL.
Kathleen enjoyed spending time with family, cooking her favorite Italian foods, baking delicious Italian cookies and pastries. Summer vacations at Frank Davis Resort in Moodus, CT and North Conway NH, where she made lifelong friends and memories with her family. She always enjoyed planning and hosting holiday parties, especially during the Fourth of July. She thoroughly enjoyed sending her daily messages to friends and family through Facebook.
Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 10:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chestnut St., Bristol. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 PM in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.saintjude.org/donate ;
