Joseph E. Travers Jr.

Joseph Edward Travers, Jr, 50, of Warwick, RI, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Fall River, MA on October 3, 1971.

Joseph (Jay) graduated from Bristol High School in 1990 and Hall Institute of Technology in 1991 with a diploma in Architectural Structural Drafting and Interior Design Technology. Joseph enjoyed spending time with friends and family, designing dream houses and writing science fiction. He loved baking, swimming, homemade pizza, interior decorating, BMX biking, Star Trek, his car, Ruby and sneakers, of which he had an impressive collection. Joseph will always be remembered for his gentle spirit, kindness and devotion to those he loved.

Joseph is the son of Joseph E. Travers (Marie) of Bristol and the late Karen Travers. He is survived by his twin sister, Jayne Conway (David Brown) of Block Island, and two stepsisters, Kara Sousa (Paul) and Jill Godbout (Peter) of Bristol. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends, all of whom he loved dearly.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 10 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow at North Burial Ground, Hope Street Bristol. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
