Jimmie Bailey

Jimmie Bailey, age 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his Warrenhome on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Jeanne(Salvaggio) Bailey for 20 years before his passing.

Born in Kittery, ME, he was the son of the late Welfred Bailey and Iila Jean
(Ransom) Betts.

After high school, Jimmie served in the United States Navy from 1968 - 1971. Jimmie went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Roger Williams University. Jimmie worked in Engineering
for Raytheon for 40 years.

He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. His family was his enjoyment, especially for Sunday dinners. He was an avid movie collector and enjoyed watching movies with his family.

In addition to his wife Jeanne, Jimmie is also survived by his children: James Bailey (Catherine), Jonathan Bailey (Erin); his stepchildren: Gregory Gamon(Maya), Justin Gamon (Alexandra); his grandchildren: Hailey Gamon, Sage Gamon, Ava Gamon, Jacob Gamon, Vanna Gamon, Keegan Bailey, Brendan Bailey, Cassidy Bailey, Isabella Bailey, Alexander Bailey, Xavier Bailey, Sophia Bailey, Everette Bailey; his brother Dennis Bailey (Donna); his nieces: Alessandra DiGiorgio and Kyla McMullen; and many other extended family and friends.

Jimmie was pre-deceased by his father, Welfred, his mother Iila Jean, his brother Terry Jo, and his granddaughter Ceila.

Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 4-7 PM at Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol. His funeral will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022, from Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, RI at 9 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel
Church, 141 State Street, Bristol, RI. To be followed by his Burial with military honors at North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol, RI.
