Mr Everett Rogers Jr.

December 25, 1958 ~ March 17, 2022 (age 63) 63 Years Old

Tribute

Mr. Everett Rogers, Jr., age 63 of Cranston died peacefully Thursday, March 17, 2022 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Fall River, MA Everett lived most of his life in Bristol.

At 16, Everett met the love of his life, and wife of 43 years, Nancy A. (Vecchio) Rogers. The family they created was his world and being with them – especially his grandchildren – was his greatest joy.

For 38 years, Everett maintained facilities for the Barrington Public Schools where he was an active leader within the union. Most importantly, Everett nurtured those around him. He brought people together with his love of food, both cooking and eating. He tackled projects big and small for those he loved. He coached scores of kids in Bristol youth sports. And his green thumb could bring anything to life.

Everett loved being by the water, often fishing or spending time by the beach. You could always find him rooting for the Patriots and Red Sox, playing cards, or taking a stroll at Colt State Park. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bristol.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two children, Anthony E. Rogers (Melissa) of West Warwick and Nicole Collins (Frederick) of Warwick, his grandchildren, Roman Richard Collins, Helen Jane Rogers and Jayda Rose Collins, his mother Valentina (Menezes) Rogers, sister Valentina “Tina” Montella (John) of Cranston, and second son Simon Delekta (Kelly) of Portsmouth, NH. He was preceded in death by his father, Everett Rogers, and brother David Rogers.
