Mr Eric Battcher Sr.

Eric Battcher, Sr.
July 19, 1954 - October 16, 2022      

Raised in Bristol, RI, he was a son of the late Reinhard Battcher Jr. and the late Dorisse Lauretta (Joubert) Battcher. Eric passed away at Rhode Island Hospital after a brief illness.

Eric had a great love for his hometown of Bristol and enjoyed many happy hours on the water there.

In his youth, Eric worked as a Merchant Marine, being the 3rd generation in his family to do so. Recently he retired from the grounds staff at The University of Rhode Island

He was a former member of the Bristol Volunteer Fire Department, Dreadnaught Hook, Ladder & Hose Co. No. 1.

Eric was greatly loved for his sense of humor and love of life.

He leaves behind a son, Eric Battcher, Jr. of Swansea, MA as well as two brothers, Reinhard Battcher, III and George Battcher, both of Bristol.

He will be deeply missed by his son, Eric and devoted friends.
