Mrs. Carmella L. “Millie” (Diodati) DiSano, age 88 of Mount Hope Avenue, Bristol, died Monday, December 2, 2019 at Crestwood Nursing and Convalescent Home, Warren, surrounded by her loving daughters and families. She was the wife of the late James A. DiSano, her husband of 65 years, who preceded her in death in October 2018.
Born in Providence and a lifelong resident of Bristol, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Catherine (Aiello) Diodati. Millie was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Class of 1949, where she was remembered by classmates as “the belle of the ball, budding with beauty”. She worked for PF Industries formerly of Bristol for a number of years before retiring. She previously worked for the former Bristol Manufacturing Company. Millie was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol and was a homemaker, devoted to the care of her late mother and husband, and to her children and grandchildren, who she enjoyed babysitting, and loved to bake and cook.
She is survived by three daughters, Stephanie Blair (Paul) of Warren, Lisa A Grimo (Pasquale) and Gina C. DiSano, both of Bristol, and four grandchildren, Christopher J. Grimo, Carl P. Grimo, Paul S. Blair, Jr. and Kathryn E. Blair.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Monday, December 9, 2019 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Brisol. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
