Tribute

Barbara Jo “Yaya” (Eustathion) Rosado, 71, of Bristol passed away at home Tuesday June 11, 2019.

Barbara was the beloved daughter of the late Steve and Virginia (Meyer) Eustathion.

Yaya lived her life being the biggest cheerleader to those she loved, she had the biggest heart and the quietest manner about her. She was always the first to send a birthday card, Christmas gifts, valentines, Easter, anniversary and condolences. She never forgot all the special moments that mattered to those around her that she loved and always signed her cards with a “God Bless and I love you!” She was proud of her service in the United States Navy but soon after joining found a higher calling as wife and mom to 5 boys that definitely kept her busy and on her toes. She loved her children more than anything and would often tell total strangers how wonderful each and every one of them were. She was happiest when she was in the presence of all her boys. She loved listening to their stories and cherished any time with them no matter how brief. Her total and unconditional love for them was palatable. She also loved to discuss her grandchildren and proudly displayed all their photos in her home. One of her biggest joys in life was joining the Catholic Church as an adult. She had a great love for the blessed mother ever since she went to her first catholic mass with her best friend as a teenager. She loved learning about the faith and constantly prayed that her boys would always be under the protection of the Lord and also find deep faith in God as well. Her greatest joy was offering prayers for each of her children, their spouses, and her grandchildren. She enjoyed trips to visit them and her sister and brother who she loved dearly. She loved her trips to Envy salon and spa which we lovingly called her second home. She enjoyed being pampered by all her girlfriends there; they always made her feel special and look beautiful. She kept a small circle of best friends that she tried to check in on and visit from time to time. Yaya enjoyed strolling down memory lane while speaking of them. She loved her parents and country above all and was so very proud that most of her boys followed in their parent’s footsteps and also joined the Navy. Some of her children worked as civilian contractors supporting our military in other capacities. She loved music of all types thanks to her grandchildren and would often surprise them by knowing all the words to a song they would know and she shouldn’t! Above all else she was a gentle soul that was so very loved, treasured, and cherished. We feel blessed to have been able to care for her as deeply as we did. She will be greatly missed by all those that loved her and were lucky enough to call her Mom, Yaya, friend.... until we meet again sweet Yaya- fair winds and following seas.

Barbara leaves behind her five beloved sons, Brett M. Rosado (his wife Maria) of Bristol, Brian Scott Rosado (his wife Lora) of Deerfield Beach Florida, Steve Martin Rosado (his wife Paige) of King George Virginia, Sean Alexander Rosado of Topsham Maine, and Brad Christopher Rosado (his wife Melissa) of Virginia Beach Virginia.
