William Bill W. St. Vincent, Sr., 95, of Bristol passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 14, 2023 in Newport. Born in Barrington, RI he was the son of the late George and Matilda (Rainey) St. Vincent. He was the loving husband of Theresa A. (DeLeva) St. Vincent for 50 years before his passing. Together they enjoyed bowling, dancing with the Silver City Twirlers Square Dance Group, Travel and especially large family gatherings. Bill served in the United States Army from 1950-1952 with the 6th Infantry Division. After serving, Bill was a Milkman with Riverview Dairy for 25 years before his 2nd long career of Self-employed Carpenter, Painter and Handyman. An avid sports fan, Bill was the founder of the Bristol Midget Football program. He also enjoyed playing in the Adult fast-pitch softball league, and was a member of the Pine Valley Country Club. In his younger years Bill was an avid gardener who loved his plants, trees, and prized rose bush. He built beautiful stone walls in the yard and maintained a huge vegetable garden for his family. He was a fierce competitor especially during those 4th of July Bocce and Horse Race games. He loved playing card games of all kinds. In his later years, he embraced his artistic side through hours of adult coloring, creating many beautiful pieces. Bill is survived by his wife Theresa, his children: Karen Marsh, Dr. William W. St. Vincent, Jr. (Christine Provost), Wayne A. St. Vincent, Sr. (Lisa), Denise Horridge (Jaime Furtado), Theresa A. Capelo (Joseph), Michelle L. St. Vincent; his eleven grandchildren: Audrey Goulet (Jason), Richard Corcoran Jr. (Kerry), Allison Patton (Evan), Bradley St. Vincent, Carolyn St. Vincent, Jennifer St. Vincent (Peter Bernard), Wayne St. Vincent, Jr. (Maria), Bethany Machado (Kevin), Alan St. Vincent (Olivia DaCosta), Sarah McCollum (Austin), LeAnn St. Vincent (Riley), 12 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and many treasured nieces and nephews. Bill was pre-deceased by his son Darrell G. St. Vincent; his parents, and his 13 siblings: George, Eugene, Francis, Richard, Raymond, Roger, Roland, and Lillian St. Vincent, and Beatrice Hunt, Doris Martino, Jeanette Noland, Virginia Bouchard, and Rose Anne LaFrance, Visiting Hours will be held at Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 4:00 PM 7:00 PM. His funeral service will start from Sansone Funeral Home on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol at 10:00 AM. Bill will be laid to rest at St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol.
