William J. Dupont, Jr.

Mr. William J. DuPont, Jr., age 67 of 130 Mullberry Road, Bristol, died Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the husband Sharon E. (Gagner) DuPont, his wife of 25 years. Born in Fall River, MA he was a lifelong resident of Bristol, a son of the late William J. and Irene J. (Sylvia) DuPont. William was a Truck driver for E. Almeida & Son Trucking in Rehoboth, MA. He was a Veteran of the US Coast Guard and was a communicant of St. Marys Church, Bristol. He was a 31 year member of the Bristol County Elks #1860, he was an avid NASCAR Race Fan. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived bya daughter, Debra J. Ricci and a son Richard B. DuPont, both of West Palm Beach, FL., three granddaughters Brittani and Courtney Ricci, and Sydney DuPont,a sister Mary Paula Gladue of Bristol. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard B. and Peter H. DuPont. Funeral Services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Saturday at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Marys Church, 330 Wood St., Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours Friday, 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 169 George St., Pawtucket, RI 02860.
