Virginia Rose 'Gini' Marshall

Mrs. Virginia Rose “Gini” (Fasano) Marshall, age 61 of Coral Springs, FL and formerly of Margate, FL and Bristol, RI, died Sunday, January 24, 2010 at the Hospice House Brookside in Palm Harbor, FL., surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Anthony J. “Tony” Marshall, her husband of 34 years. Born in Fall River, MA and raised in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Mary (Borges) Fasano. She was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Class of 1966 and she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Roger Williams University, Magna cum Laude. She was an Art Teacher in the Bristol Public School System for 10 years before moving to Florida in 1980, where she continued Teaching Art. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and friends. Whose interests included handcrafts, needlework, crocheting, knitting and she loved to travel. She is survived in addition to her husband, a daughter, Pamella J. Bernand and her husband Paul, of Maquon, IL, a son, SGT. Phillip A. Marshall, US Army, and his wife Christina of Tampa, FL, Five grandchildren, Nicholas, Megan, Nathaniel Bernand and Tyler and Paige Marshall, Two sisters, Marie Elena Byrnes and her husband, Michael of Bristol, Vivian Heckman and her husband, Douglas of Palm Harbor, FL and a brother, Mark A. Fasano of Coral Springs, FL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Vincent Fasano. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Marys Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours, Friday, Jan. 29, from 4:00-7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House Brookside, 164 West Lake Road, Palm Harbor, FL 34684.
