Mrs. Virginia (Martinelli) Botelho, age 86, of 11 Franklin Street, Bristol, died Thursday, September 20, 2007 at St. Elizabeths Manor, 1 Dawn Hill Road, Bristol. She was the wife of James G. Botelho, her husband of 59 years. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Silvio and Cristina (Venditti) Martinelli. Mrs. Botelho was a service girl at the former Bristol Manufacturing Company formerly in Bristol for 32 years, retiring in 1971. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. In addition to her husband she is survived by two sisters, Emily DiGiorgio of Bristol, and Mary Silva of Worcester, MA, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three half brothers, Joseph, Albert and Oliver Diodati. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Monday, September 24, 2007 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State St., Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope St., Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Memorial contributions may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 169 George St., Pawtucket, RI 02860. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Sansone Funeral Home, Bristol.
