Vincent G. 'Archie' Arcello

Mr. Vincent G. 'Archie' Arcello, age 76, of 17 Meadow Lane, Bristol, died Saturday, March 28, 2009 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Vivian R. (Fojo) Arcello, his wife of 56 years. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, he was a son of the late Joseph and Susie (Castigliego) Arcello. Mr. Arcello was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Class of 1952. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a Cabinet Maker for the former Federal Products Co. in Providence for many years, retiring in 1994. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, a member of the Bristol Lodge of Elks # 1860, the AmVets and Disabled American Veterans, he was a life member of the Hydraulion Engine and Hose Co. No. 1 of the Bristol Fire Department and for 25 years was a coach and active in the King Phillip Little League, Bristol. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children; Vince A. Arcello and his wife, Cathy of Portsmouth, Susan A. Ryding and her husband, Christopher of Taunton, MA, Steven J. Arcello and his wife, Beth of Bristol and Valorie A. Snyder and her husband, Robert of Barrington, eight grandchildren; Aaron S. Arcello, Jonathan V. Collins, Lauren A., Andrew S. and Sara B. Arcello, Olivia A. and Cy J. Ryding and Dale R. Snyder, a sister, Anna Lamora of Bristol. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNS Hospice of Newport and Bristol Counties, 1184 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871.
