Victoria F. (Soldano) DiPalma, age 87, of Hope Street, Bristol died Saturday, September 30, 2006 at the St. Elizabeth's Manor in Bristol. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter DiPalma. A lifelong resident of Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Concetta (Autieri) Soldano. She was agraduate of Colt Memorial High School, Bristol, Class of 1936. Vicki worked as a cook in the Bristol School Lunch Program for over 25 years. She was a great cook especially noted for her Italian meals and Christmas cookies. She loved sew, needlepoint and crochet, her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Barbara DiPalma and Beverly Whitham and her husband Hal all of Bristol. She was a devoted gramma to Kim Jacobson and her husband Eric of Lincoln, Cynthia Hale and her husband Tim (currently serving in Iraq) of Bristol, and two great granddaughters, Emily and Lillian, four sisters Eleanor Mancini of Marlboro, MA., Dorothy Parisi of East Providence, Yola Canna of Bristol and Rose Browning of Portsmouth, VA. Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a sister Mary Volpe. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut St., Bristol. Visiting hours Tuesday 5-8 PM.
