Mr. Thomas J. Principe, age 87, of 302 Market Street, Swansea, MA and formerly of Bristol, died Monday, August 28 at the Miriam Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Alice R. (Curry) Principe, his wife of over 50 years. Born and raised in Bristol, RI, a son of the late Matthew and Frances (Cirillo) Principe. A resident of Swansea since 1952, he previously resided in Bristol. Mr. Principe was a Wire Worker for 38 years at the Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corp. at both of their former Bristol and Portmouth Plants, retiring in 1978. He served in the US Army during WWII in Germany. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol. An avid golfer for many years, he was a member of the Swansea Country Club. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Thomas J. Principe, Jr. and his wife, Susan of Tiverton, three grandchildren, Sarah, T.J. and Stacy Principe, a sister, Marion Miranda and a brother, Matthew Principe, Jr., both of Bristol. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony and John Principe and a sister, Margaret Andrade. Funeral Services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Friday, Sept. 1 at 9 AM with a Graveside Service with Military Honors at 10 AM in the North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol. Visiting hours, Thursday, 4-7 PM.
