Susan Morris

Mrs. Susan (Russo) Morris, age 87, of 49B Wall St., Bristol, Died Friday, May 18, 2007 at the Elmhurst Extended Health Care Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late CPO Lloyd Morris, US Navy Retired. Born in Bristol, and a lifelong resident,she was a summer resident for many yearson Prudence Island and wintered in Seminole, FL, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Granata) Russo. Shegraduated from Colt Memorial High School Class of 1938, she was a floor lady for Crown Fastener in Warren for many years before retiring. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, she was a devout Roman Catholic and had a great devotion to St. Anthony. She loved taking care of animals; during WW II she organized many USO social activities. She is survived by three sisters, Josephine “Georgie” Favro, Rose Capone, Carmela “Babe” Russo all of Bristol, a brother-in-law, Salvatore Cala of NY, a sister-in-law Josephine Russo of IN and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Concetta Zundell and Mary Cala, a brother Gennario “Jerry” Russo. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, May 25, at 10 AM in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Sansone Funeral Home, Bristol.
