Stanley Thomas Pianka

Stanley Thomas Pianka, 91, of Portsmouth passed away in Newport on Saturday, January 27, 2024. He was the loving husband of Aleksandra (Krupowies) Pianka for 55 years before his passing. Born in Jamaica, Queens, New York, NY, he was the son of the late Stanislaus and Stella (Godlewska) Pianka. After high school, Stan went on to serve our nation in the United States Army and served in the Korean conflict. Stanley was an electrician for the Long Island Railroad for many years. He loved fishing and Boston sports. What he enjoyed most was his time spent with his family. In addition to his wife Aleksandra, Stan is also survived by his son Dr. Joseph D. Pianka and his wife Kelly; his grandchildren: Caitlin Pianka, Ryan Pianka, Emily Pianka; his siblings: Joseph Pianka and Dorothy Ras; and many friends. Stan was pre-deceased by his parents: Stanislaus and Stella; and his brother Edward Pianka. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will be private.
