Sarah "Sally" M. (Bruno) Toste Diodati

Sarah "Sally" Diodati, 91, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on December 11, 1934, in Bristol, Rhode Island, Sarah was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Bruno. She spent her life rooted in the Bristol community, where she became known for her warmth, generosity, unwavering faith, and deep devotion to family.

Sarah was the beloved wife of Henry Diodati, who preceded her in death. She was the loving mother of Norman Toste and his wife, Jodi, and Paul Toste and his wife, Patricia, as well as stepdaughters Kim Securo and Lori Amaral, and stepsons Henry V. Diodati, Jr. and Scott Diodati. Her family was the center of her world, and nothing brought her greater joy than having everyone together around her table.

She was a proud and loving grandmother to Kyle, Keith, Kevin, Michael, Megan, and Matthew Toste, and Madison Moscarelli , and a cherished step-grandmother to Joseph, Nicholas, Lucas and Lylah Diodati; Lauren Mongillo; Lindsay Johnson; Evan Securo; Bradley Amaral; Sophia Rose Diodati; and Renae Hambry. She was also a devoted great-grandmother to Logan, Lucian, Levi, Luca, McKenzie, and Beau, and a loving step-great-grandmother to Leah, Jeffrey, Aubree, Paislee, Morgan, Trent, Noah, Lucca, Sophie, Tristan, Savannah, and Teagan. Each of them brought her immeasurable happiness, and she treasured every opportunity to celebrate life's special moments with them.

Sarah dedicated many years of service as an administrative assistant at Kaiser Aluminum and later with the Town of Bristol. She was admired for her professionalism, kindness, and willingness to help others.

A lifelong member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Bristol, Rhode Island, Sarah's faith in God was the foundation of her life. She lived her faith through quiet acts of kindness, compassion, humility, and service, finding strength and comfort in her relationship with God.

Sarah's greatest gift was making people feel at home. She cherished her family and expressed her love through her cooking. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, where countless meals, laughter, and treasured memories were shared. She believed that anyone who sat at her table for a meal was family. Whether you were a lifelong friend, a neighbor, or a first-time guest, Sarah had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcomed, loved, and cared for.

She will be remembered for her kind heart, quiet strength, generous spirit, steadfast faith, and unconditional love. Her legacy lives on in the traditions she created, the family she cherished, and the countless lives she touched through her kindness and hospitality.

In addition to her beloved husband, Henry, Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Bruno, her brothers: Paul, Joseph, Samuel, Louis and Frank Bruno and her sisters Jenny Arouca and Ann DiMezza.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Sarah's life with a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday July 7th, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Bristol, Rhode Island, followed by interment at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bristol, RI.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Sarah's memory.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.

Sarah will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she is no longer with us, her love will continue to be felt every time family and friends gather around a table to share a meal. We take comfort in knowing that she has been welcomed into the loving embrace of her Savior, reunited with those who have gone before her, and that her gentle spirit will remain forever in our hearts.
