Sabato B. "Sal" Stanzione, 84, of Bristol passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, February 9, 2025. He was the loving husband of Lorraine (Cournoyer) Stanzione for 25 years before his passing. A lifelong Bristolian, Sal was the son of the late Angelo and Jennie (Saviano) Stanzione. Sal was the owner/operator of Bristol Auto Salvage for over 50 years. A simple man, Sals greatest pride was his family and enjoyed spending his free time surrounded by them. In addition to his wife Lorraine, he is survived by his children: John Stanzione (Selina) and Susan Stanzione; his grandchildren: Sabato Stanzione, III, Jason Stanzione (Cindy), Steven Cabral, Becky Colvin (Rick), Rosco Stanzione, Christopher Quinn, Jenny Stanzione, Andrew Stanzione, John Stanzione, Jr., Kevin Stanzione, Hannah Stanzione, Timothy DerMarderosian, Nicole DerMarderosian; his many Great-Grandchildren; his siblings: Elizabeth Branco, Angelo Stanzione, and Ralph Stanzione; and his step-son: David Stowell; and many extended relatives and friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents Angelo and Jennie; and his children: Sabato Stanzione, Jr., Michael Stanzione, and Christopher Stanzione; and his grandchild: Michael Stanzione, Jr. A Visiting Hour will be held at Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 9:00 AM- 10:00 AM. His funeral service will start from Sansone Funeral Home on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 10:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol at 11:00 AM. He will be laid to rest at North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol.
