Ruth N. Goglia

Ruth N. Goglia, age 83, of 41 Peck Ave, Bristol, died Friday, February 1, 2008 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of David L. Goglia, Sr., her loving husband of 58 years. Born in Providence, RI a daughter of the late Howard and Cora (Boyce) Speakman. She was a lifelong resident of Bristol. Mrs. Goglia worked as a secretary for Bristol County Dodge of Warren, Raymond Construction Compnay of Bristol and also for the former Maisano Oil Company and the former Bristol and Warren Gas Company. She embraced family and friends, loved gardening, boating, fishing and traveling. In addition to husband, she is survived by two sons, David L. Goglia, Jr. of Bristol, and Michael H. Goglia of San Francisco, CA and a brother, Don Speakman of North Carolina. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Howard Speakman, and two sisters, Cora Cowman and Gertrude McGlinchey, Funeral services and burial Strictly Private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 141 State St., Bristol, RI 02809. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Sansone Funeral Home, Bristol.
