Rose Malone

Mrs. Rose (Mariano) Malone, age 76, of 105 Woodlawn Avenue, Bristol died Thursday, October 23, 2008 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Thomas Malone. Born and raised in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Michele and Maria (Rega) Mariano. A resident of Bristol for 42 years, she previously resided in Warwick. She was a graduate of Cranston East High School, Class of 1949. A Real Estate Agent for 30 years, she worked for the Century 21 - Rondeau in Bristol and then for Coldwell Banker in Bristol retiring this year. Mrs. Malone was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol and a member of the Rosary and Altar Society, and known for baking homemade pastries for many church functions. She loved cooking, baking, gardening, but her most important love was her family. She is survived by two daughters, Valerie Malone and her huband, Michael Oliver of Bristol, Lisa Langley and her husband, James of Savannah, GA, ten grandchildren; Ana and Alexia Malone-Oliver, Mariana, Cecilia, Thomas, Francis, Christopher, Raphael, Natalia and Pia Maria Langley, four sisters, Elena Alviti, of Narragansett, Virginia Guglielmo, Mary Pagliarini, both of Cranston and Margaret Coccia, of East Greenwich, two brothers, Michele and Ralph Mariano both of Cranston. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Carmela Raviele and Rachael Alviti. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Monday, October 27, 2008 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Anns Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours, Sunday, October 26, 2008 from 2:00-5:00 PM.
