Miss Rose Campagna, 98 of Bradford Street, Bristol, died peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the St. Elizabeth's Manor, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bristol, RI and a lifelong resident, Rose was a daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (D'Angelo) Campagna. Rose was a purchasing specialist for the former Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corporation formerly in Bristol for 34 years before retiring in 1971, she also worked for the former US Rubber formerly in Bristol. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Rose was the Valedictorian of the Colt Memorial High School Class of 1935. She loved music, she was a pianist and organist and also loved to play bridge. Rose is survived by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Vincent A. 'Jimmy', Frank J., and C.Thomas Campagna, six sisters, Frances Fasano, Helen, Mary, Marian Campagna, Mildred Merlino and Josephine M. Campagna. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 10:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours Thursday morning only from 8:30-10:00 AM.
