Mrs. Rosalina “Roz” (Motta) Medeiros, age 88, of 15 Magnolia St., Bristol, died Thursday, March 22, 2007at Eastgate Nursing and Recovery Center, East Providence. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Joseph P. and Mary (Costa) Motta. A textile worker, she worked for many years at Carrs Manufacturing Co., formerly of Bristol, retiring in 1980. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeths Church, Bristol. She is survived by a son, Jack C. Medeiros and his wife Veronica and a daughter, Joan Pacheco and her husband Gilbert, all of Bristol, five grandchildren, Gilbert Pacheco, Jr., Michelle Pacheco, Andrew J., Dawn R. and Nancy R. Medeiros, all of Bristol, a niece, Linda Benedetti of CA. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by a brother, Joseph C. Motta, and three sisters, Mary Rebello, Edwina Vella and Eleanor Cunard. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, March 26 at 10:00 AM in St. Marys Church, 330 Wood St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Marys Church, “Restore Her Beauty Campaign”, 330 Wood St., Bristol, RI 02809. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Sansone Funeral Home, Bristol.
