Ronald Paul Rielly

Mr. Ronald Paul Rielly, age 74, of Verdi Lane, Bristol, died Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Providence, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Ellen Marie (Girard) Rielly. Born in Fall River, MA and a lifelong resident of Bristol, he was a son of the late James D. and Adeleen (D'Amore) Rielly. Ronald was a Quality Assurance Engineer for the Raytheon Corporation in Portsmouth and North Dighton, MA and the General Dynamics Corporation in Newport for a total of 29 years, retiring in 1992. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Cold War. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Bristol. Ronald was a member of the Bristol Police Reserve, Bristol FOP, Rockwell Marina Association, and the 8th Air Force Historical Society. He is survived by his three sons, Michael J. Rielly (Patricia) of Bristol, Mark J. Rielly (Diane) of South Kingstown and Matthew J. Rielly (Debbie) of Tiverton, two brothers, Richard F. Rielly of Bristol and James V. Rielly of Warren, three sisters, LeAnn Sylvia of Bristol, Jane Sperling of Bristol and Patricia C. Kean of Norfolk, VA. and five grandchildren, Sean P., Meghan E., Tyler J. Mikaela E. and Nicholas J. Rielly. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Mary's Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours Wednesday, December 11, 2013 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
