Ronald Medeiros

October 28, 1946 — June 18, 2024

Ronald Medeiros, 77, of Bristol passed away at Rhode Island Hospital on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. He was the husband of Debra (Medeiros) Medeiros for 33 years before his passing. Born in Fall River, MA he was the son of the late Rosaline (Almeida) Putt and Angelo Medeiros. Ronald graduated Colt Memorial High School in 1965, then shorty after was drafted into the United States Navy and proudly served as a Medic on the USS Paracutin during the Vietnam War. He was a Postal Worker for many years, and then worked for the Bristol Warren School District as a custodian. Ron was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S Post 237. He was a member of New Hope Christian Church in Swansea. Ronald is survived by his wife Debi; his daughter Colleen Medeiros- Bernier (Joseph) and step daughter Bridgette Biello (Dennis); his grandchildren: Delaney Bernier, Avery Bernier, Christopher Biello; his siblings: John Medeiros (Colleen), Gail Richey (Jim), Sandy Sandvik, and sister in law Diane Putt; and many extended relatives and friends. Ronald was pre-deceased by his daughter: Kelly Medeiros; his grandson: Coty Motta; his parents; and his brother: Paul Putt. Ron was undoubtedly the biggest Buffalo Bills fan in R.I. and we would love to have everyone honor him wearing his teams colors to his memorial. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a life celebration on Friday, July 12, 2024 at 10:00 AM at New Hope Christian Church, 1436 Grand Army of the Republic HWY, Swansea, MA 02777. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to either Missions at New Hope Christian Church, 1436 Grand Army of the Republic HWY, Swansea, MA 02777 or to Providence Rescue Mission, 627 Cranston Street, Providence, RI 02907.
