Robert Baldwin Ziegler

Robert Baldwin Ziegler died August 8, 2024 at the age of 92. Bob was born in Orange, New Jersey. After graduating from Montclair High School and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, he became a naval officer and diver. He had various roles as an environmental engineer and business executive, retiring in 2001 from his position as president of Geraghty and Miller US. Bob loved his family and his dogs and was at his happiest at the helm of a sailboat. His favorite places to be were Mystic, Ct, Bristol and Bequia Island , Grenadines, but he also loved traveling the world with his beloved wife, "Birdie". He is survived by his wife, Jo and his children: Paul, Scott (Holly) and Lynn ,and his step-children, Beth ( Jonathan ), Tina (Tim) and Bruce ( Jenni ), as well as seventeen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Alan ( Laura). A memorial service will be held at St Michaels Church, Bristol at 11 am, August 30th. In lieu of flowers , donations may be made in his name to Sophia Academy, 582 Elmwood Ave, Providence, RI 02907.
