Robert G. Terra

Mr. Robert G. Terra, age 75, of 1 Highland Road, Bristol, died Thursday, July 24, 2008 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Shea) Terra, his wife of 22 years. Born in Fall River, MA and a lifelong resident of Bristol, he was the son of the late Manuel and Isabelle (West) Terra. Mr. Terra was a self employed Painting Contractor for over 50 years. A Veteran, he had served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was an avid golfer, loved Salt Water Fishing and listening to the Blues. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children; Dawn A. Hebert and her husband Michael of Cumberland and Garry G. Terra of Newport Beach, CA, two stepchildren, David M. Bourgeoise of Middletown, CT, and Barbara A. Peckham of Charlestown, four grandsons, Michael, Mark and Matthew Hebert and Scott Terra, two step grandchildren, Torri and Tyler Harvey, a brother, James H. Terra of Coventry, three sisters, Anne Jane Melberg of Seattle, WA, Frances E. Cook and Susan L. Austin, both of Bristol. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey R. Terra. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service Monday, July 28, 2008 at 10:00 AM in the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol. Visiting hours Sunday, 2:00-6:00 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Fain Oncology Center, 164 Summit Avenue, Providence, RI 02906.
