Mrs. Philomena “Phoebe” (Terra) Goulart, age 85, of 150 Franklin Street, Apt. 103, Bristol, died Friday, June 27, 2008 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Antonio H. Goulart. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Joseph E. and Philomena (Sousa) Terra. Mrs. Goulart was a machine operator for the former Fulflex Company in Bristol for 38 years, retiring in 1985. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeths Church, Bristol and a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality at the church. She loved gardening, spending time volunteering to help others and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. Silvia of Wilmington, NC, two sons, Antonio H. Goulart, Jr. of North Providence and Barry H. Goulart of Bristol, a sister, Helen Bernier of Bristol, six grandchildren; Carol Ann Weckesser, Andrew K. Silvia, III, Michelle J. Silvia, Kimberly L., Joshua A. and Jenna L. Goulart and a great granddaughter, Ariana Marie Goulart. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Terra, Jr. and a sister, Mary Healey. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeths Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.Arrangements have been entrusted to the Sansone Funeral Home, Bristol.
