Patricia Ann Richmond-Jones

Patricia Richmond Jones, 76, formerly of Cumberland and resided in Bristol passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Thursday, October 31, 2024. Born in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Florence (Cummings) Moy. She graduated from Chariho High School in 1964. She then went on to earn her B.A in English from University of Rhode Island and later her Masters Degree in management from Lesley University. Pat joined New England Telephone, which later became Verizon, as an operator and later held many management positions including Director level positions in Boston and New York. Later in her life, she returned to her passion of teaching and became an adjunct English and Writing professor at CCRI, New England Tech, URI, and Roger Williams University. Patricia was a proud member of the URI Alumni Association for many years. What she treasured most were making memories with her family, especially traveling to visit her older grandchildren and attending as many sporting events for the younger ones as she could. Pat loved the pursuit of knowledge and loved reading books. She was a true light in this world and loved sharing smiles with others. She is survived by her children: Jennifer Ricard and Jonathan Richmond (Nikki); her grandchildren: Riley Ricard, Brendan Ricard, Brielle Richmond, Caiden Richmond; and many extended relatives and friends. She was pre-deceased by her parents. The family would like to acknowledge and thank Hope Hospice for their kind and caring staff. A Visiting Hour will be held at Sansone Funeral Home. 192 Wood Street, Bristol, RI on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 8:00-9:00 AM. Her funeral will start from Sansone Funeral Home at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Marys Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol at 10:00 AM.
