Olympia Medeiros

Mrs. Olympia (Falanga) Medeiros, age 100, of High Street, Bristol formerly of Mill Street, New Bedford, MA, died Sunday, May 3, 2009. She was the wife of the late Antone Medeiros. Born in Torre Annunzia, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Francesco and Anna (Izzo) Falanga.She was a communicant of St. Francis Assisi Church, New Bedford and loved baking cookies for her family and friends. She is survived by four nieces, Ann DeLeo of Bristol, Yolanda Panciera of Saunderstown, Mary Chiarulli of New York City and Nancy Ciummo of Melbourne Beach, FL, ten great nieces and great nephews and several great great nieces and great great nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Santulli. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bristol Good Neighbors Soup Kitchen, P.O. Box 414, Bristol, RI 02809.Arrangements have been entrusted to the Sansone FuneralHome, Bristol.
