Ms Mary Oliver

Ms. Mary Oliver, age 87 of 93 Almy Avenue, Warren and formerly of Bristol, died peacefully at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence on Friday, May 29, 2015. Born and raised in Bristol on Poppasquash Point, she was a daughter of the late Manuel P. and Mary (Perry) Oliver. Mary was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Class of 1946, Bristol and attended Johnson and Wales Business School. Mary worked in the clerical department for many years at the US Rubber Company and later at Kaiser Aluminum before she retired. Mary was a lifelong communicant of St. Elizabeths Church, Bristol and she was devoted her life to her faith and family. She was an avid New England Patriots Fan. She loved to play her piano, gardening, the Bristol Fourth of July Parade, and reminiscing about growing up on the farm. Mary was a very talented artist. Mary will always be remembered for her selfless nature and how she made everyone around her feel special. She will be greatly missed. Mary is survived by a sister, Geraldine Morra of Bristol, nephews, Michael, Glen and Rob Morra of Bristol, Mark Redies of Michigan and a niece, Dale Redies of Arizona, several great nieces and great nephews, and her Godchild, Maryanne Barry. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents, by three brothers, Edmund D., George and Roger Oliver and a sister, Beatrice Redies. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 10:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeths Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours will be Friday, June 5, 2015 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
