Ms Leanne Gablinske

Leanne (Pocharski) Gablinske, 47, of Portsmouth, RI, died after a short illness on December 5, 2014 surrounded by her friends and loving family at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. Born in Salem, MA, Leanne was the daughter of the late Marvin and Alicia (Piasecki) Pocharski. Her family later moved to Maine, where she attended and graduated from the Fryeberg Academy in 1985. Leanne then attended Roger Williams College in Bristol and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degrees in Criminal Justice in 1989. While in Bristol and working in the restaurant industry, she met her former husband, Wayne A. Gablinske and they had a daughter Hailey Melissa Gablinske, who is now a senior at Portsmouth High School. Leanne continued a career in the restaurant industry, most recently working at Aidans Pub in Bristol, while living with her daughter Hailey in Portsmouth, RI. Leanne had a warm heart, which extended to a great love for all animals. She was an accomplished horseback rider, and most recently had three dogs and two cats. She loved to walk, especially with her dogs Oreo, Chloe and Colby. She also had become active in the Common Fence Point community, where she attended weekly Zumba classes and with Hailey, participated in the yearly Coastal Clean Up event. Besides her daughter, she is survived by her sister Judith MacDonald and brother in law, Robert MacDonald of Eliot, ME, as well as eight nieces and nephews from RI, MA and ME. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours this Friday from 5-8PM in the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, RI and to attend a funeral service this Saturday, December 13th, at 11AM at St Michaels Church, 399 Hope Street, Bristol, RI.
