Ms Laura Sears Moniz

Laura Sears Moniz, 71, of Bristol, passed away on November 11th at RI Hospital after a brief illness. A lifelong resident of Bristol, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Braz) Medeiros. Laura was emplyed at Roger Williams University until her retirement. She was an active parishioner at St. Elizabeth's Church and volunteered for various events and programs for the community. Laura also served as a foster grandparent at Bristol Public Schools. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, sisters, grandmother, and friend who enjoyed dancing, volunteering, cooking and spending time with family. She is survived by a son, Steven Sears of Seekonk, MA, daughters, Dawn Sears Callaghan of Fairfax, VA and Laurie Allen of Merritt Island, FL, grandchildren, Kenneth, Brandon, and Felicia Allen, Cameron, Connor and Caiden Sears, Christian and Siena Callaghan and a sister, Rose Bookout of Plymouth, MI. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Joseph Medeiros. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 10:00 AM with a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeth's Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol.
