Ms Jane P. Mello

Ms. Jane P. Mello, age 64 of King Phillip Avenue, Bristol, died Friday, April 29, 2016 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Providence and a lifelong resident of Bristol, she was a daughter of Shirley D. (Flynn) Mello of Bristol and the late Edward Mello. Jane was a graduate of the former Our Lady of Fatima High School, Warren, Class of 1969. She was a veterinarian technician for the Warren Animal Hospital for over 35 years, retiring in 2009. She previously worked for several years as a graphic artist. Jane was a lover of animals and an artist, known for her beautiful calligraphy and drawings. She was a communicant of St. Marys Church, Bristol. In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Jessica St. Angelo (Gian), of Weston, CT, two granddaughters, Mia and Isabella St. Angelo, and brothers and sisters; James Mello (Elaine), Raynham, MA, Sarah Mello Sooknah (Raj), Bristol, Edward “Ted” Mello (Leigh), Plymouth, MA, Joseph Mello (Betty), Bristol, Thomas Mello (Julie), Brentwood, CA and Kevin Mello, Bristol. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Margaret Grimshaw. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of her life, Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 2:30 PM in the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol.
