Ms Helen J. Munroe

Ms. Helen J. (Donato) Munroe, age 80 of Maple Street, Warren, died peacefully on Mothers Day, May 10, 2015 at St. Elizabeths Manor, Bristol. Born and raised in Bristol, RI, she was a daughter of the late John and Santa (Russo) Donato. A resident of Warren for many years, Helen was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Bristol, Class of 1953. She was a Medical Records Clerk for V.N.A. of RI for 16 years, retiring in 2006. Helen was a well-known local crafter in Paper Quilling, she took part in the Farmers Market on Fridays on Colt State Park for many years selling her crafts. She is survived by three children, Sandra Wunschel (William) of Riverside, Kenneth Munroe (Fran) of Chepachet, and Mary-Ellen Munroe (Michael Cabral) of Warren, three grandchildren, Kathleen Munroe, Kevin Munroe (Laura) and Shawna Munroe (Sun Williams) and three great grandchildren, Jeremy Munroe, Paula Costello and Arianna Williams, three sisters, Phoebe Armillotto of Warren, Dolores Corcoran and Lucille Gomes, both of Bristol. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Cornelius “Kelly”, Angelo and John Donato and a sister, Josephine Bridges. Funeral Services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Friday, May 15, 2015 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours will be Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
