Ms. Dorothy Ann (Sylvester) Hilsman, age 59 of 9 Dyer Street, Danielson, CT and formerly of Bristol, died Friday, March 9, 2012 at Yale New Haven Hospital, New Haven, CT surrounded by her loving family. She was the fiance of Steven Hines of Danielson, CT. Born in Fall River, MA and raised in Bristol, she was a daughter of James J. and Marie M. 'Mae' (Saucier) Sylvester of Bristol. Dorothy was a resident of Danielson for 10 years, previously residing in Grosvenordale, CT for a number of years. She was a graduate of Bristol High School, Class of 1971. She was a clerical worker for Bob's Discount Furniture in Norwich, CT for 7 years, retiring due to illness in 2010. Dorothy was a collector of Elephants and loved spending time by the water and fishing. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Bristol. In addition to her parents and fiance, she is survived by two brothers, James J. Sylvester, II and Mark E. Sylvester and his wife Lisa, both of Bristol, two nephews, James J. Sylvester, III of Bristol and David M. Sylvester of Barrington, and several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass in celebration of her life on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 11:00 AM in St.Mary's Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol.
