Ms Beverly A. Carreiro

Ms. Beverly A. "Bev" (Hyder) Carreiro, age 81 of Bristol, died Sunday, July 23, 2023 at the Dawn Hill Home for Rehab & Healthcare, surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Providence, a daughter of the late Leonard and Anna (Welch) Hyder. She was a Bristol resident for 65 years. Beverly was a supervisor in Environment Services in the Housekeeping Dept. of Silver Creek Manor Nursing Home, Bristol for over 40 years, retiring in 2010. Bev will be remembered as being truly devoted to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and her siblings and families. She loved spending time with family members playing cards, trips to the area casinos and also quiet time with her cats and just reading a good book. She is survived by three daughters, Joanne M. (Ormond) Adamson, Barbara J. (Ormond) Wordell (Sebastian), of Bristol, Denise M. Ormond of Riverside, eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Also survived by three sisters, Evelyn Coccio (Richard) of Bristol and Anna M. Hyder and Mary E. Cavaliere, both of Riverside and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Ormond, III and three brothers, Leonard Hyder, Jr., Charles and Bruce Hyder. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Bevs life, on Sunday, August 6, 2023 from 2:00-5:00 PM with a Remembrance Ceremony at 3:00 PM in the Wood Street Caf, 260 Wood Street, Bristol.
