Mrs. Winifreda P. Busabos

Mrs. Winifreda P. (Posadas) Busabos, age 82 of Mulberry Road, Bristol, died Friday, April 5, 2019 at RI Hospital, Providence, surrounded by her loving husband and family. She was the wife of Domingo U. Busabos, her husband of 57 years. Born in San Carlos City, Pangasinan, Philippines, she was a daughter of the late Jose and Honorata (Ramos) Posadas. A resident of Bristol for 55 years, she lived in Florida for a few years after moving from the Philippines before settling in Bristol. Winifreda was an elementary teacher for 32 years for the Warren School System, teaching both second and third grades at Child Street School before retiring in 2001. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol and a former member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society. In addition to her husband, she is survived by sisters, Milagros Palisoc, Concepcion Frias and Natividad Posadas, all of the Philippines. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Lee P. Busabos, and a brother, Jose Posadas, Jr., and sisters, Cristeta Posadas and Adelina Beudisda. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, April 12, 2019 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
