Mrs Victoria Celone

Mrs. Victoria (Mescolin) Celone, age 95 of 161 Wood Street, Bristol, died Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Newport Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Samuel J. Celone. Born in Vincenza, Italy, a daughter of the late Alessandro and Zonato (Augurla) Mescolin. Victoria and her late husband were married in France, where he served in the Army during WWII, bringing her home to Bristol in 1945 at the end of the War. She was a machine operator for the former Premier Thread Company in Bristol for many years, retiring many years ago. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bristol and loved cooking, knitting, crocheting, sewing and spending many hours working in her flower gardens at her home. Victoria is survived by two sons, Samuel R. Celone, Michael Celone (Donna) and a grandson, Michael J. Celone, all of Bristol and a sister, Terese Tessaro of Meuse, France. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service, Monday, October 6, 2014 at 10:00 AM in Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours will be Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 2:00 - 5:00 PM.
