Mrs Theresa Morris

Mrs. Theresa (Tamburro) Morris, age 93 of Market Street, Swansea, MA died Saturday, February 20, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Kenneth Morris, her beloved husband of 71 years. Born and raised in Bristol, RI, she was a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Frances (Tammaro) Tamburro. A resident of Swansea for 71 years, she was the head cook for the Country Garden Nursing Home in Swansea for over 10 years, retiring in 1975. She had previously been a production line worker for Converse Rubber Company, formerly in Bristol. She was a communicant of St. Dominics Church, Swansea. Theresa was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Theresa loved holidays and family get-togethers and any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She enjoyed cooking and was a world traveler with her husband. In addition to her husband, she leaves two daughters, Deborah Chirnside (Jeffrey) and Donna Flannery (Jay) both of Bristol, two granddaughters, Sarah Overy (Nick) and Kayla Chirnside, two great granddaughters, Olivia Overy and Emma Overy, who shares her birthday with her great grandmother, and a sister, Carmella Myslivy, all of Bristol. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Vincent, Michael, Jerome and Alfred Tamburro and three sisters, Margaret Nastri, Anna Marshall and Filomena Morris. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Friday, February 26, 2016 at 9:30 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Dominics Church, 1277 G.A.R. Highway, Swansea, MA. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Hortonville Road, Swansea. Visiting hours, Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
