Roseline “Rose” Selley of Bristol passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 9, 2015. Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of Sebastian and Mary Piedade (Rebelo) Dias. She is survived by her beloved husband of almost sixty-three years, John, and their beloved children: daughter, April Rose, of Rotterdam, New York and son, Jody, of Bristol. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Arthur Richer; her sisters-in-law: Susie Dias, Angelina Dias, and Janet Selley; her brother-in-law, Michael Selley; and many nieces and nephews, as well as their children and grandchildren. She was predeceased by four brothers: Domenic, William, Freeman (and his wife, Natalie), and Sebastian, Jr., as well as three sisters: Helen, Mary Dias Almeida (and her husband, Jesse), and Helen. After graduating from Colt Memorial High School, Rose worked in the Bristol Town Hall for many years before becoming a homemaker. She was an active communicant of St. Elizabeths Church, where she was honored at the 100th anniversary Mass in September 2014 as one of the oldest parishioners. She was a member of St. Elizabeths Holy Rosary Sodality and of Harbor Lights at St. Marys Church. For decades, she was a regular visitor at Silver Creek Manor, where she loved all of the residents and workers and gave them her special “medicine”making them laugh. Even after she became a resident at Silver Creek in October 2014, she sought to engage and comfort her fellow residents and everyone around her. Her only regret is that she must leave family and friends, but she will continue to pray for all, both remembered and forgotten. Bless all! Keep healthy! Funeral services will be held from Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., St. Elizabeths Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol.
