Mrs Rose D'Ottavio

Mrs. Rose (Esposito) D'Ottavio, age 90 of State Street, Bristol, died peacefully, Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Scalabrini Villa in North Kingstown with her niece, JoAnn at her side. She was the wife of the late Carmen D'Ottavio, who passed away in 1967. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Stefano and Anna (Massa) Esposito. She owned and operated with her late husband the King Philip Jewelry Company, formerly of Bristol for over 10 years, retiring in the early 1970's. She was previously a seamstress for a few local textile companies. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and a member of the Rosary and Altar Society. She loved to spend time painting with oil paints and spending time with her family. She is survived by a brother, Bernardo Esposito of Bristol and a sister, Theresa Bisbano (Ennis) of Punta Gorda, FL and she was the loving aunt to Steven Esposito, JoAnn Messerlian, Lynn Bisbano, Cynthia Esposito, Loren Hadfield, Angela Tamilia, Rosanna Pira, Gloria Marchionda and Archie Altobelli and also survived by many great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visitation will be Wednesday morning only from 10:00-11:00 AM.
